Playa Blanca is Lanzarote’s southernmost resort and has evolved considerably since its days as a peaceful fishing community. Playa Blanca is a town on Lanzarote’s south coast and the island’s third most populous tourist destination. This tranquil and pleasant site, recognized for its beauty several times, is excellent for the whole family to rest in. Let’s discuss the top things to do in Lanzarote’s Playa Blanca.

    1. Atlantico Museum

This may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the Atlantico Museum is a one-of-a-kind European site off the coast of Playa Blanca. You may dive underwater to admire the stunning sculptures that have begun to attract marine life, reviving the ecology surrounding this region of Lanzarote. If you like diving, take advantage of this opportunity at Playa Blanca!

    2. Playa Flamingo

Playa Flamingo may be the most beautiful of the three beaches, but this is subjective, and you should visit all three to get your judgment. Playa Flamingo is farther from the resort’s center, although there are still restaurants and small stores to visit throughout the day.

This beach includes everything you’d expect, from sunbeds to bathrooms and showers. It is a child-friendly beach with turquoise water that is peaceful and free of large waves or currents.

    3. Playa Blanca beach

The Playa Blanca resort features not one but three beaches, all of which are ideal for swimming and spending the day in the sun. Playa Blanca beach, named after the resort, is located right in the heart of town, near all of the bars and restaurants, so it is trendy and becomes very crowded.

Playa Blanca beach has all the facilities of a city beach, including loungers, showers and foot showers, restrooms, and a lifeguard on duty. Playa Blanca beach, commonly known as White Beach, has been given the Blue Flag designation, and it’s a pretty pleasant and clean beach but a little modest compared to its popularity.

    4. Playa Blanca Market

Although not as massive or bustling as the Teguise market, this festival draws visitors from adjacent resorts like Puerto del Carmen.

One or two hours is more than enough time to explore everything on offer for trade, but you can also spend another hour or so sipping coffee and taking a breather from all the souvenir purchasing.

    5. Papagayo Beaches

Playas de Papagayo is the most fantastic beach in Lanzarote, and a visit there is a must if you are staying in Playa Blanca. You may walk from Playa Blanca to Papagayo beaches, but we wouldn’t encourage it, particularly if you have children. There is nowhere to shelter from the sun on the trip, and you will most certainly be exhausted when you arrive.

It’s about 10 minutes away by vehicle, and there are 5 fantastic beaches perfect for swimming. Bring your water and food since there are no stores within the natural park. However, there is a café facing the Papagayo beach with stunning views.

    6. Marina Rubicon

One of the most incredible things to do in Playa Blanca is to wander about and soak in the scenery, the beautiful weather, and the moderate temperatures.

Marina Rubicon is about 15-20 minutes from the town center and is where all boat cruises depart, whether for snorkeling adventures or trips to Papagayo Playas, Fuerteventura, or Los Lobos island.

After gazing at the boats, there are several lovely cafés and restaurants to try, and it’s a pleasant stroll to take in the mornings before the sun begins to sear, particularly during the summer months.
